Play Without Barriers Fund

The Play Without Barriers fund, exists to support players and families experiencing financial hardship, helping remove barriers to participation in WaiBOP's futsal programmes and competitions. The fund is intended to help ensure financial circumstances do not prevent players from accessing opportunities to play, and represent their community.

Purpose

The Play Without Barriers Fund exists to support players and families experiencing financial hardship, helping remove barriers to participation in WaiBOP Futsal programmes and competitions.

The fund is intended to ensure financial circumstances do not prevent players from accessing opportunities to play, develop and represent their community.

The fund may contribute towards:

  • Registration fees.
  • Tournament entry fees. 
  • Representative levies. 
  • Travel costs.
  • Accommodation.
  • Playing equipment.
  • Goalkeeper equipment.
  • Other participation costs approved by WaiBOP Football. 

Funding may cover all or part of an application. Applications are welcome from:

  • Players.
  • Parents or caregivers.
  • Clubs. 
  • Schools.
  • Team managers.

Applications must relate to a participant within the WaiBOP Football region.

Eligibility

Applicants should demonstrate that financial circumstances are creating a genuine barrier to participation.Consideration may also be given to:

  • Number of family members participating.  
  • Travel requirements.
  • Exceptional financial circumstances. 
  • Commitment to futsal. 
  • Other relevant factors.

Assessment

  • Applications will be assessed confidentially by a small panel appointed by WaiBOP Football.
  • Each application will be considered on its own merits.
  • The panel's decision will be final.

Privacy

All information supplied will remain confidential and only be viewed by those responsible for assessing applications.
